Total Flooding Chemical Agent
Engineered Chemical Clean Agent System
GreenQuench™ Total Flooding Automatic Clean Agent Fire Suppression System utilizes HFC 227ea and FK 5-1-12 recommended by NFPA and globally used by all manufacturers. Both the agents are zero ozone depleting, toxicologically safe, thermally and chemically stable, electrically non conducting and do not leave a residue upon discharge and evaporation. FK-5-1-12 is superior of the two as the atmospheric life time of the agent is three days and contributes to negligible global warming. Hence, it can be designed and used for fires resulting from different types of hazards – Class A, Class B or Class C.
Fire Suppression takes place through heat absorption and elimination of free radicals that fuels the fire. The agent leaves no residues or oily deposits, and hence can be used to protect electronic equipment and other sensitive assets. As this is an engineered system, the installer has to follow strictly the manufacturer’s guidelines pertaining to the cylinder assembly, nozzle placement and other installation procedures
General system comprises PESO approved high pressure containers mounted with VdS listed container valves with required quantity of extinguishing agent super pressurized by Nitrogen to 42 /70 bar. GreenQuench™ offers 70 bar system which can be used for multi hazard common banking systems with selector valves. This reduces the overall cost and cylinder quantity compared to traditional systems. The system can be actuated electronically or by manual means.
